The Divorce process in Singapore
The divorce process in Singapore
is based on the marriage having irretrievably broken down. If a married couple
wish to initiate the divorce process immediately, this will require their
divorce to be filed on the fault of one partner, either through their adultery
or unreasonable behavior.
The alternative to divorce after three
years of living apart, if both parties consent. Another option is to proceed
with a Separation Deed, in which the couple draw up their terms of separation,
and proceed with a no fault divorce after three years.
